EMWORKS – A revolutionary tool for electromagnetic simulations with integrated Autodesk Inventor modeler. usability 3D electromagnetic simulations at nproposal solenoids, fuses, busbars, transformers or antennas will allow describing the behavior of the product in terms of electric and magnetic fields. Possibility of connection to the integrated multiphysisku then allows to count the pulseOther losses, kinematics and deformation, or integrate the simulated product into a real circuit diagram.
The main advantage of EMWORKS is its modeling tool Autodesk Inventor. If you use it in your company, you can use your models directly for calculation, without any modifications. When modifications are needed, you can make them in the EMWORKS environment. Inventor is fully functional and is part of the solution. EMWORKS thus complements the calculation modules Autodesk, which today allow us to calculate elasticity, strength using Strength analysesy or inventor Nastran and advanced flow simulations (CFD), available in a dedicated tool.
Partnering with by the Canadian company EMWorks, which develops electromagnetic simulation software that helps engineers, designers, and researchers realize their designs faster and with greater confidence—from electric motors and transformers to sensors, antennas, and printed circuit boards (PCBs)—EMWorks supports a wide range of applications in the automotive, aerospace, medical, electronics, and academic industries.

EMWORKS offers a unified platform for simulating electrical, magnetic, thermal, and mechanical phenomena within one intuitive workflow—enabling users to design, simulate, and innovate in one place.
Trusted by professionals and educational institutions worldwide, EMWORKS combines a powerful computing core with seamless integration into CAD systems to deliver simulation tools that are both practical and highly accurate.
Fast and accurate design iterations
Tests and optimizations (e.g. electric motors, transformers, solenoids, EM shielding) can be performed in the same CAD environment without switching systems.
Multiphysics simulation
In addition to electromagnetism, you also address heat and motion in the same environment, enabling comprehensive analysis of performance and operational scenarios.
Quick designs of electric motors and transformers
Popular applications include electric motors, generators, induction heating, linear/rotary actuators.
User-friendly interface
Easily interpret results using vector fields, graphs, color maps, and animations directly above the Inventor model
EMWORKS is equipped with an extensive material library, a post-processing center and allows calculations on up to 32 cores at no additional charge.
Design and analysis of power buses for high-power applications. Minimizing losses, overheating and interference.
Comprehensive simulation of electric motors of all types – from winding design to performance and cooling optimization.
Accurate analysis of induction heating of metal components for hardening, melting or welding.
Simulation and optimization of coils and magnetic circuits for contactless charging and energy transfer.
Antenna design and tuning in the RF and microwave bands - radiation characteristics, impedance, losses.
Modeling forces, flows and interactions in systems with magnets – from sensors to actuators.
Identification and resolution of electromagnetic interference and compatibility problems according to standards.
Optimization of magnetic circuits, windings and cooling for higher efficiency and reliability.
Virtual simulation of NDT methods – eddy currents, magnetic fluxes, defect detection without material damage.

It offers two types of licenses:
Permanent license – with an annual maintenance fee, which includes updates and technical support.
Annual rental – the license is always up-to-date and advantageous for short-term use.
Purchasing an EMWORKS license is worthwhile if you plan to use the software for more than 3-4 years and it is part of your regular development.
A perpetual license makes sense when:
Renting is more suitable for short-term projects or testing.
Yes. EMWORKS includes Autodesk Inventor – currently in version 2024, with a planned transition to version 2026.
This means you have the full functionality of Inventor at your disposal: modeling, parameterization, assemblies and geometry editing, iLogic. Changes in the model are immediately reflected in the simulation, without exports, loss of constraints and calculation settings.
Yes. EMWORKS is designed to be used effectively by both designers and computer scientists. The controls are based on CAD logic and guide the user through the task setup without the need for detailed knowledge of numerical methods. A number of clear tutorials are available and we will be happy to train you.
Yes. EMWORKS is based on a robust integrated material library, which is included in the standard license – at no additional cost. The library contains most of the commonly used electromagnetic materials (steels, magnets, wires), sorted by manufacturer.
The user also has the ability to create their own materials or edit existing data according to measured or catalog values, which is key for accurate industrial simulations.
We will provide you with a trial version or presentation tailored to your needs.
We will introduce EMWORKS in practice and help with specific calculations.
